Successful pre-season oversea tour

The oversea summer tour becomes a traditional point on the pre-season list of Chelsea. The Blues have visited Asia or North America in the last five years and this summer they returned to the United States.

The Londonners won all the four games played in 11 days as PETR CECH appeared in three encounters to concede only one goal.

Chelsea continually beat American club Seattle Sounders (2-0), Inter Milan with José Mourinho on the bench (2:0), former club of the contemporary manager Carlo Ancelotti AC Milan (2-1) and Mexican squad Club América (2:0).

Petr was mainly satisfied with the victories reached during the camp but the Czech keeper also appreciated the atmosphere in the stadiums.

"In comparison with the summer 2004 when we were in the US for the first time there is the obvious increase of attendance and the rise of interest in our games," stated Big Pete.

"Even this is a good evidence of the reputation and the prestige that Chelsea have gained in the last few years," concluded Chelsea number one.
