Liverpool ended home impregnability of Chelsea

Chelsea lost their sequence 86-game unbeaten run in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool's victory 1-0 shattered a sequence that had lasted since Arsenal’s 2-1 success in February 2004.

PETR CECH could not do anything with a Xabi Alonso's shot deflected by Jose Bosingwa on 10 minutes. Liverpool then were prooving the best part of their football is the impenetrable defence.

Chelsea dominating possession resulted in no serious work for keeper Pepe Reina. On the contrary, Steven Gerrard after 23 minutes tested Petr's attention.

As Ashley Cole missed the Chelsea's best chance on 73 minutes, Liverpool recorded an important victory which made them move three points clear at the top of the table.
