Deserved three points against Stoke

Premier League leaders Chelsea kept up their 100% start to the season. As PETR ČECH marked in his post-match reaction, Blues deserved three points for good fighting spirit and character.

"It was a different game to the previous two, but we kept the same attitude on the pitch, thought for every ball and added a quality. Credit to Stoke, they made it difficult for us by defending very well and working really hard, but we showed a good fighting spirit and character because we didn't get down after the penalty miss and continued to search for a winning goal, which we scored at the right time to break through."

"We had few other chances and deserved three points for a team performance. It was nice to see that we coped very well with their set plays in which they are one of the most dangerous teams in the Premier League and got another clean sheet under the belt."
