Best wishes for Carlo, congratulations to Edwin

PETR CECH would like to wish all the very best to Carlo Cuidicini who left Stamford Bridge to join Tottenham in January.

"I would like to wish to Carlo a lot of caps and a lot of clean sheets in his new team. He has motivated me to concentrate 100% all the time he has been here and his service for Chelsea has been excellent," thinks Petr.

"I will miss him but his decision is understandable. Every keeper wants to play regularly," concludes the Czech international.

Just one day after Cudicini move Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar eclipsed Petr’s Premier League record of 1,025 minutes without conceding a goal, set during the 2004-2005 campaign.

"Congratulations to Edwin van der Sar for breaking the record. These runs are mostly about having a good form, having a good defence, as United have these days, and you need a little bit of luck as well," says Petr.
