Ahoj Petr (Big Pete), I'm a huge Chelsea fan from Sheffield (age 12) and have recently been to the Bridge. I had my picture taken in from on your shirt! You're my favourite 'keeper! I wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for signing the pictures I sent to you, I REALLY appriciate it and keep them all safe. Which player do you find hard to play against? If you could, would you change to a different position? Do you want to move to a different club soon or stay at Chelsea until you finish your career? Thank You very much and Best Wishes to you and your team mates. Sally Scrivener Age 12

Hi Sally, i’m glad i made you happy. That’s great. To your questions: i wouldn’t want to change my position, because i love being goalkeeper and i love chelsea, so i wouldn’t leave as long as the club wants me to. Take care.

Dino Safic Tuesday, January 13, 2009 2:22 PM

Hello Petr, I am writing from Australia but was born in Bosnia. I admire you especially beacuse we are both Slavs, iam 19 and play 1st team goalkeeper at my local club, in the season of 2008 i recieved a similar injury 2 urs when i went 4 the ball n the forward hit me of the side head wit his knee,i been recoverin 4 the pass yr and i got 2 wear the headgear like u so my question is How do u overcome ur fear into goin 4 the ball when its 1 on 1 wit the keeper coz i got a fear it will happen again plz write bak

Hi Dino, it is hard to give the advise, but i’ll try....remember: unfortunately the best way to get injured again is to have fear, so you have an issue, but i’m positive you can go over it... You have already the helmet for your safety and this is really important. This should help you itself and you can always find the way in training to prepare your self. Create with your coach the situation of which you are afraid of in your training. You’ll see that you’ll get the confidence back from overcoming the fear in training. And once you manage it nothing will stop you in the game, because you’ll do it automaticly. Hope i helped little bit. Good luck.

Joseph Rynasko Sunday, January 04, 2009 8:56 PM

My name is Joseph Rynasko, I am also a goalkeeper and I am a big fan of you. Recently I was playing in a game and suffered a head injury similar to yours. I had a brain hemerage and I lost a few teeth but i still want to go back out and continue playing. I was wondering where i could get a helmet like yours? Thanks

Hi Joseph, my helmet is specialy made regarding my injury, but i think you can try the rugby helmet, because it is similar. Have a look in rugby shops. There you can choose from many different brands and shapes to get the best helmet for you. Take care.

Ahoj, Petr. Jak se mas? I am from Ireland and i am such a big chelsea fan. I was devastated on the champions league final but i was still amazed at your performance, especially you saving ronaldo's penalty. I was still so proud of the team, you all did brilliantly in getting where we are. But what i would like to say is that i have been learning the czech language for over a year now because i went to prague last year. Miluji praha a ceska republika. Please write back. Evan Duncan, Celbridge Ireland. Age 13. COME ON THE BLUES!!!!!! WELL DONE ON YOUR NEW CONTRACT!!!

Hi Evan, jak se máš? Hope you are enjoying coming to my country. Thank you for your message and I wish you good luck with Czech language, because it is difficult. Take care

Primož Božič Monday, August 25, 2008 12:14 PM

Hello Petr, I am writing from Slovenia. I admire you especially beacuse we are both Slavs ;) I am 18 and I want to be a professional goalkepper once, but there is a lack of clubs in my surroundings so... I have two questions for you: how good in your opinion you would be, if you weren't so extraordinary tall, if you were just above average height? And second one: Do you have in mind anything what you would like to do after finishing carrer. I know that you have at least 7-8 years to think, but I am just curious ;) Best wishes to you and everyone else from Chelsea team!

Hi Primož, I think it is difficult to say what I would have been being not so tall. The height is important but not every time so… I don‘t know. After my career I would like to do something in common with football, but can‘t tell you now what, because my ideas can change in few years. Take care

Petr Cech, I'm your biggest fan, and I am Brazilian and I know that on 14 October 2006 in the Premier League valid departure you suffered an injury in the head by Stephen Hunt ... also saw their greatest defenses in Chelsea, and you have been very well ... and I wanted to ask a question. How many goals from penalty kicks you already defended to date?

hi to Brazil, I don‘t know. I‘ve never thought about that, so I can‘t tell. But I‘ll try to find out. Take care
